One project we have been working on, is ourselves. While this is not a project to complete in one week, it's a project that we struggle to continue EACH week. We recently started working with a personal trainer, approximately four weeks ago. Jen is a fantastic trainer, truly motivational and positive. She comes to our house three times a week, for an hour each visit. We feel as though this is our best chance at success. Actually we should say, we feel that SHE is our best chance at success.
We are not skinny people, nor do we want to be skinny. You all know us. We have spent our life doing the yo-yo dieting. Up. Down. Only to repeat that cycle over and over. There comes a time when you just have to say enough is enough. We would like to get to that point, and maybe we're close. But we're not sure we're actually at that point of...enough is enough! We know we need to make changes, that's obvious. So we make changes as we go each week. More water, less soda. One meal for breakfast versus two. A sandwich minus the bread. It would be easy to say, just follow this eating plan. Putting that eating plan into action and successfully following it, after years of avoiding it, is more difficult. So we do what we can. Whatever we are doing, today, to improve our lives, is better than 4 weeks ago or even a day ago.
They say you always want what you don't have. So what are the things we want? We want to live long, healthy, and purposeful lives. Very similar, we are sure, to what many of our readers strive to achieve. Are we there yet or are we at least striving to be there? The answer to that question is easy - no, we are not there yet, however what we are doing is going day by day, to make sure we are STRIVING to be there…one day!
